Self-Laminating Labels for Test Tubes and Microplates

This great feature, in combination with our unique labeling material, allows samples to be stored and processed under the most demanding conditions, including: low temperature freezers, liquid nitrogen storage, autoclaving, and even hot water water baths.

What is a self-laminating label?

A self-laminating (or wrap around) label protects your label's legend from extreme temperature, chemicals, and solvents. The label consists of 2 portions: a printable (white) portion for your printed legend; and a clear portion which wraps around and laminates the legend. The legend is easily visible, yet protected from spills, scratches, and the most demanding storage and handling conditions.

Self-Laminating Labels can be safely subjected to the following conditions:

- Low temperature freezers
- Liquid nitrogen storage
- Autoclaving
- Hot water baths to 100°C

Our self-laminating (and standard) labels are available in 2 different formats:

1. TLS2200 Thermal Labeling System with portable printer
2. Laser labels for use with a computer and laser printer

TLS2200® Thermal Labeling System

This is the ultimate answer to your lab's toughest labeling challenges. This thermal labeling system utilizes the TLS2200 handheld portable printer. This is a stand alone printer with keypad and pre-set parameters for all of our TLS2200 compatible laboratory labels. Features include ability to serialize, print multiple labels, print bar codes, rotate, and employ different font sizes. Printing labels for microtubes, test tubes, microplates, and slides is a snap with this system. Requires a TLS2200® Thermal Printer or a TLS PC Link™ (portable thermal printer without keypad; hooks up to a PC) and the appropriate roll of TLS2200 compatible labels.

Laser Labels

Many of our labels are also available on sheets, in a laser printer compatible format. These laboratory labels do not require a dedicated TLS2200 Thermal Printer; they are compatible with all standard laser printers. Templates are provided for setting the print setup parameters on your laser printer.

LAB PAL Handheld Laboratory Labeling System

This is a great new labeling system for the laboratory. The LAB PAL labels are compatible with low temperature freezers, liquid nitrogen, autoclaving, and even hot water baths. The printed legends will not smudge or lift off under the most demanding lab conditions. LAB PAL laboratory labeling printer is extremely easy to use, you just drop in a convenient cartridge containing both the roll of label stock (choice of 3/8", 1/2", or 3/4" width) and the printing ribbon, and type in whatever text (including Greek symbols) you require. The printer automatically sizes the label for 0.6ml microtubes, 1.5ml microtubes, 2-4ml sample tubes, or you can manually set the size to any length you require. Labels can be automatically serialized for labeling sequential samples, and there is a built-in Date/Time stamp. The LAB PAL printer operates on 6 AA batteries (provided by Boca Scientific at no charge) or with the optional AC adapter.
