Cryovials® Cryogenic Vials

Cryovials cryogenic vials from Boca Scientific are designed for storing cells, blood, serum and other biological fluids at cryogenic temperatures down to -196°C. Both cap and vial are made of sturdy polypropylene; since cap and vial are made of the same material with the same coefficient of expansion, a sure seal is assured at any temperature. The thick walls of these cryogenic vials make them almost unbreakable.

Cryovials cryogenic vials are available in 3 formats (see below) and 5 different sizes from 1.2ml to 5ml. All sizes feature a large white marking area and clearly visible graduations. Some cryogenic vials are free standing (with locking base) and some have round bottoms. Color coding is available in the form of Capinserts™ which fit in the caps.

Boca Scientific offers 3 formats of Cryovials cryogenic vials for every preference: Cryovials T-309 Series with external threads and lipseal design; Cryovials T-310 Series with external threads and a silicone washer; Cryovials T-311 series with internal thread and a silicone washer. All Cryovials cryogenic vials are sterilized by gamma radiation and are packaged in tamperproof, resealable safety-lock bags.

These cryogenic vials feature an external thread which guards against possible contamination and a specially designed lip inside the cap (lipseal design) to ensure a leakproof seal. Cryovials T-309 Series can be used to store biological material down to -196°C, in the gas phase of liquid nitrogen.

These cryogenic vials feature an external thread which guards against possible contamination and a silicone seal fitted inside the cap to ensure a positive seal at even the lowest of cryogenic temperatures. Cryovials T-310 Series can be used to store biological material down to -196°C, in the gas phase of liquid nitrogen.

These cryogenic vials feature an internal thread and a silicone seal fitted inside the cap to ensure a positive seal at even the lowest of cryogenic temperatures. Because of the internal seal design, cap and vial are of the same diameter allowing maximum use of storage space. Cryovials T-311 Series can be used to store biological material down to -196°C, in the gas phase of liquid nitrogen.
